Amadeus Costume Renderings

Watercolor and guache

As a final assignment for this course, I designed and painted six costume renderings for the main characters of the play "Amadeus". My concept for these costumes was having each character's color scheme be based on a candy that was popular during the time period, a nod to Salieri's sweet tooth which is referenced throughout the play. My full presentation of research and concept can be found here.

Race, Early Childhood TV, and the Legacies of Jim Henson

A critical study of the role of animated cartoons, educational television, and children’s TV programmes in general as important socializing and teaching tools for children.

Sodium Sally

Felt, couch insulation, wooden dowels, pipe cleaners, foam, cardboard, pompons

This assignment was to take inspiration from Jim Henson and create a creative educational tool for children. I created a puppet of a salt shaker to teach children about invisible illnesses, specifically dysautonomia, which is improved with high sodium intake. Materials used included felt, craft foam, hot glue, foam couch insulation, wooden skewers, pipecleaners, and pompons.
