For my culminating Senior Capstone project, I created an immersive installation that allowed me to experiment with music, circuitry, and character design. My goal with this exhibit was to encourage my audience to connect with an inner sense of whimsy and exploration. It was presented at a student exhibition on May 9th, 2024.
Interactants entered a dark room and searched using a flashlight. When the light landed on the 3D printed creature they found, a photosensor triggered a speaker to begin playing a unique line to a song. When all of the creatures had been found, they played music together, completing the piece.
All of my "Little Guys" were 3D modeled and designed in Womp, and then 3D printed and painted by hand. I wrote the music using MuseScore, and had members of a UMD choir record the different voices.
